DESCRIPTION:Coincidental with the association of Vineyard Churches hosting and leading a National Fast David and Debbie are hosting prayers @ their home in Barnhartvale. \nKamloops Vineyard In-Person Worship and Prayer.\nTuesday Jan 10th and Jan 17th.\nDoors open @ 6:45 pm.\nWorship\, Waiting and Prayers begin @ 7 pm. A break @ 8 pm will allow people needing to head home to do so. David and Debbie are encouraging people linger afterwards for more personal prayer to 8:30 pm. \n____ \nVineyard Canada National Fast 2023 \nOnce again we are inviting our Canadian Vineyard family to enter into a time of fasting\, prayer and listening to the Spirit together. This Fast will take place January 9-18th 2023. As we lean into a new season as a family\, focusing on the Mission of Jesus\, we are struck with the truth that this is the way Jesus began his public ministry after His baptism. While we deeply value the personal fast when seeking clarity and discernment\, we can’t ignore the reality that fasting with others has an exponential reality to it that is born out in the biblical narrative and church history. \nCollectively engaging in a fast\, presses us to humble ourselves\, set aside our egos\, and cry out to God for mercy and grace. As we enter into this posture we allow for a greater capacity to hear the voice of the Father\, break the resistance of the enemy and lean into new adventures in mission.  As Luke records\, Jesus was “led by the Spirit” into his fasting in the wilderness and returned “full of the Spirit”. \nThrough daily engagement with written reflections and online worship/prayer times\, we trust that you will enter in with joy.  We encourage you to journal and share with us what you are hearing as we and lean in to hear the heartbeat of our good\, good Father together. \nWelcome to the adventure!! DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Vineyard’s Sacred Rhythms Course.\nSix Sessions over Six Weeks. \n\n\n\n\nThe Kamloops Vineyard welcomes the teaching and practice of ‘Sacred Rhythms – Arranging Our Lives for Spiritual Transformation’. \nDo you long for a deep\, fundamental change in your life with God?\nDo you desire a greater intimacy with Him? Do you wonder how you might truly live your life as God created you to live it? \nSpiritual disciplines are activities that open us to God’s transforming love and into changes that only God can bring about in our lives. Reflective of valued practices and ancient pathways\, Monastic traditions welcomed the creation of a “rule of life” with the singular purpose to create space for ongoing encounter with God. \nIn her book and study guide\, Sacred Rhythms\, Ruth Haley Barton presents us with well- thought-out offerings of wisdom and practical exercises—seven core disciplines that we can meaningfully weave into our everyday life.
