Happy Canada Day! Wed July 1st.

Hello Canada! Today we celebrate 159 years as a nation.

People of God, let us practice gratitude in our celebrations: gratitude for the goodness of God, who created the heavens and the earth and everything in them; gratitude to our Father, who watches over us with steadfast love; and gratitude for the gift of this remarkable nation.

And let us in humility never forget the generosity and extended friendship of our First Nations peoples, who faithfully stewarded these lands before welcoming waves of Europeans settlers who landed on her shores.
