Leaders
David and Debbie Tombe
Lead Pastors (Aug 2011 – present)
After assuming the pastoral leadership of the Kamloops Vineyard Church from the founding pastors Don and Judi Harrison on Aug 1, 2011, David and Debbie were officially commissioned by Vineyard Canada on Oct 23, 2011 by BC Regional Leaders Hart and Louise Louwen (Penticton) and Barry and Nancy Kaardal (Campbell River).
Leadership within the Vineyard is better understood through the lens of servanthood. Jesus, the Son of God, taught that true leadership necessitates we live out of a relationally connected love to our Father in heaven and that we serve from a sacrificially poured out overflow of that same love to others.
Mark 10:42-45 (NLT) 42 Jesus called them together and said . . . 43 Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
David and Debbie Tombe, serve alongside a group of volunteers to undergird the workings of the church, providing oversight and accountability to Directors and Elders alike to ensure communal and missional harmony.
